BillBob Terms & Conditions

Welcome to BillBob! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BillBob mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service” or “App”). Please read these Terms carefully before using BillBob. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Introduction

BillBob is a peer-to-peer bill splitting and payment platform that allows users to track shared expenses, make payments, and share bill details. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and BillBob (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Definitions

  • App/Service: The BillBob mobile application and any associated features or services.

  • User: Any individual who creates an account or uses the Service.

  • Platform Fee: The 2% fee charged on each peer-to-peer payment processed through the App.

  • Content: Any information, bill details, summaries, payment links, or other materials shared via the App.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use BillBob. You may not use the Service if prohibited by law in your jurisdiction.

4. Account Registration & Security

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and update such information as needed.

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activity under your account.

  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach of security.

5. Payment Processing

  • BillBob facilitates peer-to-peer payments between users. By initiating a payment, you authorize BillBob and its third-party payment processors to debit and credit your designated payment account.

  • A 2% platform fee is deducted automatically from each payment.

  • You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds and accurate payment details.

  • BillBob is not responsible for failed or delayed payments due to incorrect information or insufficient funds.

6. Sensitive Information & Data Security

  • You may be required to provide sensitive information, including bank account or card details, to use payment features.

  • BillBob uses industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

7. User-Generated Content & Sharing

  • You may create and share bill summaries, payment links, and related content.

  • You must not share content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others.

  • BillBob reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

8. Fees & Charges

  • A 2% platform fee applies to all peer-to-peer payments processed through the App.

  • Fees are deducted automatically from each transaction. You will be notified of all applicable fees before completing a transaction.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.

  • Share false or misleading information.

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

10. Termination & Suspension

  • BillBob may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or suspected fraud.

  • You may close your account at any time by following the instructions in the App.

  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Intellectual Property

  • BillBob and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including all software, branding, and content.

  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.

12. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding reliability, accuracy, or availability.

  • BillBob is not responsible for losses due to unauthorized access, technical failures, or user errors.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillBob and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the App;

  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein;

  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount of fees you have paid to BillBob in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

Unless otherwise specified, these Terms are governed by the laws of England, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

16. Privacy Policy

Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to the Privacy Policy.
